Kyle went to high school in Clear Lake where his family is a member of SCEC. Upon graduation, he was awarded an SCEC scholarship that helped him further his education at Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount, MN. His first job out of technical school was working as a temporary summer lineworker for SCEC. He then worked at Tjader &Highstrom Utilities Services for three years. He came to SCEC in June of 2020 to continue his apprenticeship training. He likes that it’s close to home and says it’s been a great place to work.
“Thank you to SCEC and all the great people here for supporting me and putting in the time to teach me,” Kyle said. “The help I received really kept me moving towards this goal.”
One of the main reasons Kyle decided to become a lineworker was because it allows him to work outdoors. In his free time, he enjoys hunting and fishing and exploring the trails on his Polaris RZR side-by-side. Kyle lives in Deer Park and is engaged to be married to Hannah Fornego. They have a Fall 2025 wedding planned. Congratulations Kyle!
