Operation Round Up Grants Awarded

Operation Round Up Grants Awarded

We all know it often takes more than a good idea and a commitment to get the desired results. Many times, the power of volunteerism and the human spirit needs to be supplemented with money.

At their December 2023 meeting the Board approved grants totaling $41,250 to 22 community organizations.

SCEC started the Operation Round Up Grant Program to demonstrate our cooperative values and local commitment to service by helping others in serving the unmet humanitarian, social and educational needs within our general service area.

The funds for these grants are graciously donated by our members who participate in the Operation Round Up program. Monthly bills are rounded up to the next dollar and the “change” is put toward the grant program.

SCEC Serves, Inc. was formed to distribute the Operation Round Up Grants. The newly formed Board of Directors will review applications and award grants on a quarterly basis – in March, June, September and December.

The grant cycle is open for First Quarter 2024. If you work with an organization and would like to apply for funds collected from Operation Round Up, visit here to for more information or to apply.
