Just because you find a sale on a refrigerator or clothes washer does not mean it (or other items) will qualify for the Electric$ense incentive program. Prior to buying anything, review the incentive criteria for the item(s) listed below by clicking on the item and/or reviewing the appropriate Incentive Form.
The Electric$ense program rewards members for qualified purchases that help them use energy wisely.
Please reference these lists for local contractors and their areas of expertise. Note: SCEC does not recommend or sanction any contractor as SCEC is not a party to your independent agreement with the contractor.
Click on the following rebate categories to be taken to the rebate forms. Note: Carefully read the eligibility criteria to ensure you meet all requirements and deadlines.
$25 to $50 rebates for select Energy Star Appliance purchases or recycling of old appliances.
25% rebate on purchase price. Must be on load control as defined by SCEC.
Up to $250/ton on qualifying HVAC purchases.
See Incentive Form for specifics on rebate amounts.
$500 EV Charging Station, $300 installation costs of secondary meter with regular EV charger. Must be on load control.
See incentive form for complete list of qualifying equipment.
$250 to $500 rebates on high efficiency water heaters (must be on load control) and heat pump water heaters.
Qualifying members can receive a Home Energy Efficiency Assessment for just $100 + tax (a $550 value).
SCEC’s Home Energy Efficiency Assessment program is available to residential accounts with homes at least 10 years old that haven’t received an EE Assessment in the last 10 years.
The $100 + tax charge will be applied to your electric bill after the assessment is completed.
SCEC members who implement recommended solutions from the Assessment may be eligible for an Energy Efficiency Incentive up to $500.
Improvements must be completed within 24 months of the audit date. Incentive paperwork must be completed and returned to SCEC within three months after improvements are completed.
